Career Crafting coach
for independent school educators

Crafting is to make or produce with care, skill, or ingenuity. Your career is part of your legacy on this earth. Career Crafting is the idea that you can design your career by being intentional, reflective, proactive, courageous and considering perspectives outside of western culture.
A career is the aggregate of a million decisions, and your career as an independent school educator can be deeply affected by a few, major decisions like graduate school, moving on from a place you have outgrown (or that has outgrown you) and how to react when you make plans and life happens.

As educators we are often asked to help young people prepare for crafting a life, yet when it comes to our own journey, we often make choices about our careers in isolation. Where do you go for help when we are 5, 10, 15 years into our careers? How do we make decisions which align closely with who we are, what we want and what the world needs?
I can help you craft a career that is in line with your values, your core beliefs and your ultimate goals, both in your career and life.

The days of joining one school and spending 30 years at the same institution are rare. how do you stay engaged, relevant and energized by the work you do? What happens when you feel stuck?

I can help you think through where you have been: what experiences have been most impactful for you? Where in the past have you felt most inspired?
I can help you figure out where you are now: what skills and talents do you have that make you unique? What can you contribute to the world?
I can help you see where you want to go: What is next for you? What do you need for the next step in your career?

Together, we can explore these questions in a way that feels like you can listen to that inner voice that calls out your vocation-what do you feel called out to do? What do you need to call in to your life in order for that to happen?

I have worked across six independent schools across the country, across all types of schools and grade levels and have spent a lifetime helping young people figure out their purpose

The same way that leadserve consulting has helped educators answer the question of what makes a good citizen, I can help you answer the question of what makes a good career!
